Linked With Love: Visual Identity & Brand Strategy for a Jewellery Startup
This project was an early freelance commission that challenged me to craft a full brand identity for Linked With Love, a small startup offering permanent jewellery with a personal, handcrafted approach. The client came to me during their pre-launch phase with a clear sense of purpose: to build a brand that felt minimal yet warm, elegant yet grounded. She emphasized an aesthetic rooted in natural tones, simplicity, and a subtle boho charm—qualities that felt both emotional and intentional.
From the start, this was a collaborative, client-centered process. I began by defining a visual direction through moodboards and typography explorations. We aligned quickly on an organic, restrained design style that reflected the sentiment of the brand. I created a logo using handmade glyphs to reinforce the artisanal and human quality of the product, supported by two secondary marks for use across packaging, signage, and digital platforms. The color palette was inspired by natural earth tones, offering a grounded and approachable presence.
Alongside the visual identity, I provided a small set of branded lifestyle photographs to help the client launch on social media and market stalls. These images helped extend the visual language across touchpoints, adding consistency and emotional tone

Design Philosophy & Intent
At the heart of this project was a belief in emotional minimalism using design to create quiet impact. I focused on clarity, restraint, and meaningful detail, aligning the brand’s values with a visual identity that could grow with the business. While subtle, every design decision from line quality to colour contrast was made to reflect permanence, simplicity, and personal connection.
Reflection & Opportunities
Though the project had a modest budget and quick turnaround, it offered a strong foundation in real-world collaboration. One key strength was the alignment between client and designer: with minimal revision rounds, the final outcome closely matched her initial vision. This case study is further strengthened by the real-life brand application photos (e.g., signage at market stalls, packaging), process sketches. These elements emphasise the project's commercial viability, professional workflow, and the client's positive experience.
Impact
This identity helped Linked With Love launch with a clear and confident brand presence. More than a visual style, it communicated the deeper values behind the business personal meaning, permanence, and connection. The project is a testament to the role of design in supporting small businesses with intention, clarity, and emotional depth.
